Overview

• Upper Respiratory Tract → nose, sinuses, pharynx, larynx or trachea
• URTIs are mainly viral, however may be bacterial in some instances
• Examples include tonsillitis, laryngitis, sinusitis, otitis media, rhinusitis and the common cold
• Less severe than LRTIs

Making Diagnosis

Clinical Features:

• Cough
• Sore Throat
• Runny Nose + Sneezing
• Nasal Congestion
• Headache
• Fever
• Facial Pressure
