Overview
- Upper Respiratory Tract → nose, sinuses, pharynx, larynx or trachea
- URTIs are mainly viral, however may be bacterial in some instances
- Examples include tonsillitis, laryngitis, sinusitis, otitis media, rhinusitis and the common cold
- Less severe than LRTIs
Making Diagnosis
Clinical Features:
- Cough
- Sore Throat
- Runny Nose + Sneezing
- Nasal Congestion
- Headache
- Fever
- Facial Pressure
